How much smaller will my PDF get?
Results vary by content. A scanned PDF at Medium quality typically reduces to 30–60% of the original size. Text-only PDFs compress less since they're already efficient.
Which quality should I choose for government portals?
Use the quick presets — they are pre-configured for DigiLocker (< 1 MB), UPSC (< 300 KB), GST Portal (< 1 MB), and SSC/NEET forms (< 100 KB).
Is my file safe?
Yes. Files are transferred over HTTPS, compressed on our server, and deleted immediately after your download. We never store, log, or access your file content.
What if the compressed file is still too large?
Try a lower quality setting. If you need a very specific target size (e.g. exactly 200 KB), our Compress to Target Size tool offers precise control.
